Pizza Piacevole

Many operators are finding the sweet, creamy flavor of Stracciatella to be an excellent, unexpected enhancement on pizza. Add some spicy Calabrian chili peppers on top, and you have a can’t-miss menu item for new and returning customers.

Pizza Piacevole Yield: one 12" pizza
  • 14 oz. Pizza dough ball, slacked
  • 3 oz. Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 oz. Grande Fior•di•Latte, diced
  • ¾ oz. Red onion, shaved
  • 1 oz. Calabrian chili peppers, diced
  • 10 Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 ½ oz. Grande Stracciatella

Directions

Pizza Piacevole
  1. Stretch pizza dough to 12" round.
  2. Top with 3 oz. Italian sausage, 3 oz. Grande Fior•di•Latte, ¾ oz. shaved red onion and 1 oz. Calabrian chili peppers.
  3. Add 10 fresh basil leaves.
  4. Bake at 500°F-550°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until crust is golden.
  5. Remove pizza from oven and top with 2 ½ oz. Grande Stracciatella.
  6. Cut into slices and serve.
