Chocolate Swirl Dessert Pizza

This dessert pizza is extremely simple to make. Using only a few ingredients, you can serve up this sweet pie in no time. Spread rich cannoli cream on fresh pizza dough, bake, and then finish with a swirled design of warm chocolate sauce and a sprinkling of semisweet chocolate chips.

  • 12 oz. Pizza dough ball, slacked
  • 1 cup Cannoli Cream (see recipe)
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate sauce (not syrup), warmed
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips

  1. Stretch out pizza dough to form a 12-inch crust.
  2. Spread 1 cup Cannoli Cream on pizza dough.
  3. Bake at 500°F for 5 to 7 minutes in an impingement over or for 7 to 8 minutes in a deck oven.
  4. Remove from oven and swirl 1/2 cup of warm chocolate sauce and sprinkle 1/2 cup of chocolate chips over the pizza.

  • 5 1/2 cups Grande Ricotta Prima Dolce® or (one 3 lb. container) Sopraffina® or Tenera®
  • 1 2/3 cups Sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp. Vanilla extract

  1. Combine all three ingredients and whip together well.

  • Add another dimension of flavor and color to this dessert by swirling a second sauce, such as raspberry, caramel or strawberry, or dusting with cinnamon.
  • Instead of chocolate chips, add your favorite crumbled cookies with a swirl of warm sauce.
